March 27th: The San Francisco Queer Open Mic featuring VIRGIE TOVAR!

march 2015 banner yup yeahWe work really hard to bring the artists that we feature at the Queer Open Mic table, we feel that the artist we choose we choose not just for their talent but for their connection to the Queer Community, and the world. This artist in particular I feel is uniquely changing the world around them and the world is noticing. Her several campaigns and projects from Lose Hate not Weight, to Babecamp, to her book, her essays and radical work as a feminist activist are rockin’ the world enough to get the attention of MTV, New York Times and of course, most importantly, us folks at the Queer Open Mic!!

We are so happy and so proud to have her at our show!

So join us March 27th, at Modern Times Bookstore for the San Francisco Queer Open Mic!

TIME 7:30 show

SING UPS 7pm sharp

WHERE: 2919 24TH Street San Francisco

WHEN: March 27th

Some boring yet important rules when entering the queer space: Please note that you have to be present to sing up. You cannot sign up someone else. You cannot give up your spot on the list. You do not choose when you go up. Signing up gives you 5 minutes to do one piece and one piece only, WE WILL CUT YOU OFF IF YOU GO OVER TIME. And please please please, rules aside, have fun and share and enjoy the queer space. Straight identifying folks are welcome in the space, as long as they respect the queer space and understand we strive to be a feminist space. Straight identifying folks can also sign up to perform as long as they understand we give priority to queer artists, we do want you to join us and be a part of the experience, we are a space for all.
